Who are the people of Arroyo Capital? We’re an experienced team backed by more than 70 combined years in land banking, land acquisitions, homebuilding, and capital markets. And we love what we do.

Dan McCann, Principal
Dan McCann is a Principal and co-founder of the firm. He sets strategic direction for Arroyo and has responsibility for the investment committee, capital raising, Wall Street relationships and business development.
Prior to founding Arroyo, Dan was an investment banker for 20+ years covering residential real estate for FBR Capital Markets, where he raised over $2 billion in initial equity capital for firms including Century Communities, TRI Pointe Homes, American Residential Properties and Air Lease Corporation. While at FBR, Mr. McCann also advised JH Investments and Oaktree Capital on their acquisition of Taylor Morrison Home Corporation. Previously, he held senior positions with Credit Suisse, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, KBHome and Wasserstein Perella. Over his career, Mr. McCann has advised or led the acquisition of over a dozen U.S. homebuilders worth several billion dollars.
Mr. McCann is a graduate of Brigham Young University.

Leigh Austin, Principal
Leigh Austin is a co-founder and Principal of Arroyo Capital with shared responsibility for management and oversight of the firm and its investment strategies. Ms. Austin is actively involved in capital raising, originations, oversight of investments, and day-to-day management of the firm. She has 30 years of experience in the for-sale residential sector as a business owner, investor, equity provider, banker and broker.
Previously, Ms. Austin held senior positions at Saybrook Community Capital, KB Home, Community Bank, a Canadian based private equity firm, and Citicorp Real Estate. In her various capacities, Ms. Austin has acquired, owned, managed, financed, restructured, repositioned and sold residential land and for-sale housing projects in many of the major US homebuilding markets.
Ms. Austin is a graduate of Florida State University (B.A.) and the Anderson School of Management at UCLA (MBA).

Jeff Brouelette, Principal
Jeff Brouelette is a co-founder and Principal of Arroyo Capital with shared responsibility for management and oversight of the firm and its investment strategies. He is actively involved in all financial aspects of the firm, underwriting new investments and oversight of projects during development, construction, and marketing.
Prior to joining Arroyo, Mr. Brouelette was Founder and CEO of Strategic Financial Group, LLC, specializing in residential real estate consulting to homebuilders and private equity firms. Previously, he spent 11 years at Standard Pacific Homes (now CalAtlantic). Mr. Brouelette held multiple roles at Standard Pacific, starting as Division Controller and finishing as the Director of Mergers and Acquisitions. He also served as the Division President for the Jacksonville Division. Mr. Brouelette worked on numerous land transactions and homebuilder acquisitions across the country and underwrote over $3 billion of real estate representing in excess of 20,000 lots.
Mr. Brouelette attended California Lutheran University (B.S. Accounting) where he was Captain of CLU’s NAIA State Championship baseball team and Golden Gate University (M.S. Taxation). He is a licensed CPA (inactive) in the state of California.
